The remains of hurricane Ike passed Iceland last night with heavy winds and rain.   The remains of a hurricane coupled with a growing low pressure area is a powerful combination.

Some areas of the country experienced 47 m/s winds (>100MPH), the strongest gust of wind measured 52.9 m/s and in my area the strongest gust measured 41.9 m/s.

We get this kind of weather in Iceland quite regularly and it is considered normal in autumn.

The only damage at TF4M was caused by the river eroding the riverbank with the result that one feedline pole is in the water.

This will be easily repaired once the weather calms.
