I looked out the shack window and witnessed an awesome sight.
A massive rain squall was coming towards the station and it turned the sky partly pitch black – incredibly dramatic and a rare moment of excitement for me.
By the time I had changed the lens and got the camera ready the drama was gone and the squall was right over the farm…..
I snapped one photo into the darkness for good measure and this is the result – I was not able to remove the sleet drops on the lens in processing.

Yesterday was the first day of summer weather in my location and also a day off from the work of planting our forest.
I took my new boat the Spermur II out for it’s maiden voyage.
This boat is made of fiber-glass with a double hull and had been sitting for several years without being used. It is powered by a 4HP motor.
Finnbjörn of Litlaeyri performed crew duties and took the photos.
Skuggi the Labrador has a favourite toy which he inherited from my dear Goði who died in 2005. My neighbor Finnbjörn of Litlaeyri took these photos.
